So….those are 25 things that make me smile…of course there’s a lot more……..but what about yours?

I have LOVED helping out in all the classrooms.  The kids are adorable………my daughter’s class got all the naughty kids though. LOL.  But I have noticed that some of the really naughty ones….once you get them alone one on one, or in a small group, they are decent kids.  They just need a little extra help when it comes to focusing and a little nudge to being good. lol. 

Homework seems to be neverending……….much like the laundry pile. haha.  One of these days, I swear, I’ll get it caught up……but then what will I do with myself????? lol.

So I am sitting here, instead of doing homework, writing this. lol.

 My classes are kicking my butt……..my first semester taking more than one 1 class at a time, on top of working a couple days a week, and volunteering at my kids’ classrooms……….on top of the normal everyday mom responsibilities.

Laundry is a never ending job…………..piles of it…..just when I get caught up, I find myself faced with at least 2 more loads of laundry………and don’t even get me started on socks. They are the devil. <sigh> I have a separate basket for those….and it’s a free for all. If you need socks, that’s where to look. OF course I’m always the one looking for them for everyone else……..but that goes with a different rant. lol

Two of my classes are business related classes. My one professor kind of reminds me of Louis from “Revenge of the Nerds.” He’s not as bad as him….but he’s definitely a nerd. He teaches my business math class. I hate all things numbers. ugh. You’d think simple algebra would be easy. hahahahaha. Not for this girl. But I will muddle my way through it, because that is what I do. I am determined to get that 4.0!!!!

My other professor is for my principles of business and industry class. He’s cute………always in a dress shirt, tie, and dress pants. Too bad he won’t wear his suit coat too……….a nicely dressed man is always a nice thing. But he reminds me of the shy kid who blushes everytime a girl talks to him. While he doesn’t quite blush, he gets very fidgety when a girl talks to him……hehehe. SO I am thinking I could be really evil and find reasons to talk to him throughout the semester.

Keyboarding class……..is almost more devilish than socks. Keyboarding is so freakin’ time consuming. You’d think the teacher thought that we had no life outside of the class…..so we should devote every free minute to it. I have spent at least 6 hours so far this week just on this bloody class. Tonight I will be working on it some more as I have more assignments due on Monday.  Hopefully I will still have hair left by the end of the semester. haha

I worked Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday and today of this week.  I picked up the extra 2 days (Tues. and Thurs.) because someone is on vacation.  I enjoyed it, but I am more tired this week.  Hopefully inbetween homework, the birthday party tomorrow, homework, and work….oh did I mention homework?  I get some rest.

Anyways, I suppose I’ll go off and be a good dooby and do my keyboarding homework.

Remember to smile.  There’s always something to smile about….no matter how big or little it is.

The kids are in school full time now.  They love their teachers and friends.  SO far no problems.  Thank goodness.

I started my 3 classes. EEEK!  I’m not panicking yet……….lol. But the ironic thing is my Math class is going to be my least stressful class!!!!!!  (Ironic b/c numbers give me headaches.) haha

My other 2 classes are a business one and a keyboarding one.  You’d think the keyboarding one would be easy…….but it’s slow and takes for—–ever! 

I am also working 2 days a week……..which I look at it….I get paid   Can’t complain too much when you’re getting paid.

Stress levels have been on high alert….like the highest one ……..but I’m hoping things even out once we get used to a routine.

My best friend is planning on coming towards the end of October.  Can’t wait. I might even call my parents to take the kids that weekend. LOL.

It seems like we have done more this summer than we have ever done!

I started a part time job.  I usually work one day a week……sometimes another day if I can.  I enjoy it.  It’s working at  the deli at the little store down the road. I work by myself….but I keep busy.  I like the interaction with other people and it gets me out of the housoe a little.  

At the beginning of summer, in June, we went to spend a couple days at a water park.   The kids had blast.   We were exhausted by the time we went to bed that night. lol.  I was sleeping by 10 p.m.  Anyone who knows me, knows I hardly ever go to bed that early!

The husband had 4 weeks off……2 were vacation, one was for his travelling with the taekwondo, and one was for work…but he didn’t have to go back to work during that time.  I was very glad to have him go back to work. haha.

During that time, my kids went down to my parents for about a day and a half. I worked……and was ready for them to come home.  

A couple weeks ago, the kids, myself, my friend and her two kids, and her mom went to Chicago.  We went to Shedd’s Aquarium  So fun and so cool.  The kids had a blast.  Then we ventured downtown to the American Girl Store and a few other stores.  My daughter now wants one of those dolls. LOL.  We will see what happens. lol

We met up with my brother and his wife for dinner at the Cheesecake Factory.  It was alot of fun…and my kids loved seeing their uncle and aunt. 

We got home about midnight.  I crashed by 12:30 A.M. 

I am getting ready this week to go to my best friend’s for the weekend.    My kids are going to my parents. They are both super excited too. 

School will start….too soon. lol.  but yet not soon enough. 

My son will be going to full day kindergarten.  This will be the first year of it here.  My daughter will be in 2nd grade. ANd I am officially a sophmore in college.

I hope everyone’s having a wonderful summer and keeping cool.

But first things first.  

Memorial Day……a day to remember those that have served, and those who have given their lives for our freedom.   Thank you. 

My Grandpa was a WWII vet.  He drove ambulance………he never talked much about his time over there.   He said that before he went over there, he didn’t know how to drive.  He learned by driving the ambulance.  :)  

Well, we made it to our 10 year anniversary. lol.  I was so uptight and nervous about it.  I wasn’t sure what was going to happen.  The day came, and it was a normal day………..except for the Happy Anniversary we said to each other.  I was worrying and stressing out for nothing.  BUT I really just didn’t know what to expect.   I wouldn’t put it past him to do something…………for looks. 

My baby boy is now a preschool graduate.  He’s made a lot of friends and has opened up alot socially.  He’s still shy….but not like he was before.  He asks when he goes back to school….but I think that will die down once his sister is done with school.  She has less than a week and half left.

We went to my brother and sister in law’s wedding reception Saturday.  They had gotten married in the Virgin Islands a month ago………so they had their reception this weekend.  It was so much fun.   

We stayed at the hotel that the reception was held at.   Everything was absolutely beautiful.

I know I had more to say……………lol  but I can’t remember now. hahaha.

I hope that everyone’s doing well………and has a safe and fun day today.

OH and remember there is always a reason to smile.

I have been doing alot of thinking lately.  About life,  the past, the present, and the future.

The past……..growing up….what I envisioned my life to be like.  Where I thought I would be.  What I thought I would be doing.

I thought that I would graduate high school…..go onto college right away.  Graduate in 4 yrs.  Get a job………doing something in the health field.  I’d marry someone who was 4 yrs. older than me.  Had a good job……we’d go off on our merry way.  Have children, raise our family together. 

Reality……..I worked a year between graduating and going to college.  I slacked off big time…as my g.p.a. shows…….I moved out of my parents’ house when I was 20.  Got my first boyfriend……broke up with him…….a month later met my future husband…who was 10 yrs. older than me……had already been married once.  I stopped going to school, b/c he wanted me to.  He thought I did not need to go….he did fine without going, so I should too.  I stopped working when my daughter was born.  That was by choice.  I do not regret that choice.  I love all the moments I got to experience with her. 

Present……….married 10 yrs. in 10 days, not looking forward to pretending to celebrate our wedding anniversary.  Being the sole caregiver to our children……even though he supports the family financially…………being the one the kids go to for just about everything…….going back to school…to finish what I started over 10 yrs ago.  Sleeping in separate beds.  Living like roommates.  Just not wanting to try anymore. 

Future……..Feeling like I’d be happier…..the kids would be happier…..in the long run being by myself.  I know it will not be easy.  I know that there’s going to have to be alot more compromising on my end.  I know there’s alot more that I will have to face.  BUT I know that I am a strong person.  I know that I have the love and support of my family and friends.  I know that no matter what I will be okay.

I realize that life changes according to the choices one makes as they go along.  My choice to move in with my husband a month after we met.  My choice…to kind of be pushed into getting married b/c we were living together was my choice.  My choice to agree to stop my schooling.  My choice to let him set the “rules” from the get go.  My choice to not put my foot down and tell him I didn’t like certain things.  My choice to wait almost 5 yrs. to confront him about the state of our marriage.  My choice to not force communication more.  My choice to give up trying and trying and trying.  My choice to have things the way they are now…..and the list goes on.

While I have not made the move towards the next phase in my life…………I am always thinking about it.  It scares the shit out of me……………..mostly what scares me is the whole discussing it with him……..I have no clue how he will take it when the time comes.  He has already shown a side to him that I did not know before………….It will be a very emotional time……b/c of the mind games.  B/C divorce is never easy.

I do not know when or how long I will stay here.  I have an idea in my head of what I want……..but what will happen is a different story. 

In the mean time…………..I will keep going along…..looking for things to smile and laugh about.

My best friend came to visit.  She arrived on Thursday afternoon and left this morning around noon.  We started her visit off by going and getting sundaes while the kids were at taekwondo class.  Reese’s peanut butter ice cream sundae for me………..was soooooo good!!!!  I cursed her after I got done eating it, b/c I now will have to talk myself out of going there to get one every week.  haha

We decided to stay up…….to watch the Royal Wedding stuff.  OMG………we were soooo dumb. hahaha.  We stayed up till about 3:45 am then fell asleep.  We had our pillows and blankets and laid out on the couches………..and she woke me up about 6:10ish when Kate was getting out of her car.  She was very beautiful………..Prince William looked like a little boy in a candy store……trying to be serious but he couldn’t help smiling.  I hope they have many years of true happiness. 

We fell back to sleep and slept till 11:30ish.  

Friday night…………oh dear……………..LOL.  It was one of “those” nights!!!!  We started the night out by going to the mall.  Went and did a lot of looking around, did a little shopping…..and then went to Olive Garden for dinner. 

While there, I dropped my phone in my plate……….almost backed into a waiter with a full tray of food…………and spent the meal laughing with my best friend.  lol. 

We went to this bar…………never had been to it…….but met up with an old friend from high school and her friend.  They were determined to make me drunk…………which even drunk I’m still quite aware of my surroundings and what’s going on.  I had my normal drink…..capt and coke………and then did shots………2 cherry bombs……not ready to try jager yet……….tequila rose……oh so yummmm……..and then had a slippery nipple………which was also very very yummmmm.

Somehow we ended up at a “gentleman’s” club.   I had actually wanted to go home, b/c we had to get up early………but since I was not driving……it was out of my hands. 

Since I had never been to that type of club before…….I admit I was curious.  But once in there…………I was ready to leave shortly after we arrived.  I spent a good portion of time watching the hockey game on the t.v. lol. 

I won’t go into details…………LOL…………but there were other things that took place too.  It was fun……but I was definitely happy to go.

Saturday we got up……no hangover…….yay!!!!  lol.  Went to a taekwondo tournament.  My son’s first one.  He got 1st in forms………did an awesome job…………was super fast……lol…………but he did not place in sparring.  BUT he did an awesome job. 

Saturday night was girls’ movie night.  We watched Eat, Pray, Love; Easy A; and The Truth About Love.

My favorite was Eat, Pray, Love.   Easy A was funny……..and The Truth About Love was a little awkward at the end when my hubby came home from his party……….b/c of the sex scenes. LOL.

We were drinking mango mojitos.  Omg sooooo good. 

Today…………after my best friend left…..I had to work on my final project.  I worked for a little bit on it…then laid down and took a nap.   A couple hours later, got up………and finished up my project.  Took me almost 5 hours to complete.  Now just have to hand it in tomorrow.

 Watched the news tonight.  HUGE news.  So proud of the men and women who were involved in that mission.  I am so thankful for all the men and women serving…………God Bless them!!!! 

Not even sure anyone’s following me anymore…..I haven’t written anything in a super long time.

Life has been crazy…………both the good and bad kind.

I’m still taking classes. About to finish up this one…….on Monday. I signed up for fall classes already. I’m going to try to tackle 3 at a time now. I’m a little nervous about it, but I know I will be fine.

I have been helping in my kids’ classes. I love it. Let’s me get to know my kids’ friends, know what is going on in the classroom, spy on my daughter. My son is in preschool………..not sure he can get into too much trouble……lol.

I’m a soccer mom. lol. My daughter plays……though this is her last session. I am going to look into getting her into something else. But 2x a week I have to take her to practice…….then games on Saturdays. I hate the cold. I hate the rain. I probably yell too much…..lol. I embarrassed her the other day. I called her by her whole name b/c she wasn’t paying attention…….twirling around in circles….not paying attention. She told me later that I couldn’t do that. LOL. I told her that if she wanted to twirl in circles she could after the game. lol

I am still married, but it’s much worse than it was before…….we are truly just roommates……I have someone to pay the bills. It’s only a matter of time now.

I always used to think that when I got married, it’d be the forever kind of marriage. Sometimes life doesn’t always end up how you think it should/would. Definitely an experience.

Now I am off to clean. I hate cleaning. It’s only going to get dirty again……lol. BUT everything will be clean by tomorrow.
